Notes: "Ebenezer Skinner came from the battle-ground of Lundy's Lane, where he had been a habitant, and took up a farm on lot 29, where his son Almon [sic] now lives. Skinner dealt rations to the British on the day preceding the battle, and afterwards aided the burial-parties in the interment of the dead. Near the farm of Skinner, Bela Armstrong, of Connecticut, lived..."3
The Battle of Lundy's Lane happened in Upper Canada near Queenston on July 25, 1814.

Aged 91, died Monday, December 23, 1996 at Arlington Court Nursing Home, Columbus, Ohio. Born in Hanover, Michigan, December 10, 1905. A retired farmer. Preceded in death by wife, Stasia Skinner. Survived by daughter, Lee Kohler of Columbus; sons, Daniel Skinner of Kansas and Hoyt Skinner of Jackson, Michigan; grandchildren, Michele Kohler, Jennifer Pletcher and Emily Skinner; three great-grandchildren; brother, Almond Skinner of Arizona. Graveside service, Friday, 2 p.m. December 27, 1996. Horton Cemetery, Horton, Mich. Arrangements by Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, Worthington, Ohio.
